Taylor was part of a fashion shoot last month. I thought it would be a bit of fun, something we could do, just the two of us, while I was on maternity leave. She rocked it like I thought she would. The girl loves to have her picture taken. The day was pretty fun, she liked trying on sparkly pants and sparkly shoes and playing with some new kids. I had my work cut out for me making sure she didn’t ruin the clothes that weren’t ours! For weeks following the shoot the first thing she’d ask in the morning was if we could go modelling again! I wasn’t sure how the pictures looked, as a photographer commented they hadn’t seen the best of her yet – her prettiest smile apparently doesn’t come out for just anyone!
I noticed Taylor’s pictures (from the modelling shoot she did last month) on the babycity facebook page, I thought that was pretty cool. My mum first noticed the pictures in the window of the store! I took Taylor for a look. She thought that was pretty cool. Then we went inside and found her pictures by the clothes she got to wore at the shoot. She was so proud. Even dragging a sales assistant from one end of the shop to the other to have a look. And has now spent the better part of the afternoon asking to be a model again. Worried i’ve created a modelling monster! She looks pretty cute though!
The paper version of the catalog comes out next week. The grandma’s and aunties have put their orders in! Also random fact, the boy in the blue jacket is the son of a guy Kat works with. Wonder what they’ll be talking about at work tomorrow!
Every night after dinner Taylor helps me make lunches for the following day. We ran out of lettuce and tomato, so Ham, Cheese and Mayo it was!
Her favorite step is tied between buttering the bread and squeezing the mayo. I usually go easy on the mayo, so her Dad likes when she helps, then he feels like he’s getting enough. Some of us apparently aren’t counting calories!
Apparently they taste to good there’s not even time to get down off the chair to eat them!
My Mum got Taylor this poncho from Country Road. I want one! Same goes for her cute dress from kmart too! We will chalk that up to another shiny example of toddler outfit envy!
Wednesday is officially my favorite day of the week.
I don’t have to work… unless you count doing house work – which I sorta do.
I don’t have to get out of bed early – but I still do because I like to get a head start on my kids for the day.
The only thing I do on Wednesdays is hang with my kids – and I love it.
Sometimes we go out, sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we spend all day in our pj’s, sometimes we put our pants on and head out the door.
Today was going to be a pj’s day… that was until I stumbled across Taylor’s picture on the Babycity facebook page… which I told my Mum about… she then just ‘happened’ to drive past the window of babycity (which is not really a shop you just ‘happen’ to drive past), and notice a picture of her grandbaby in the window…..
Basically the point of this post is to tell you what I wore to go look in the window of a shop at a picture of my kid!
With Taylor’s 3rd birthday fast approaching I’ve been looking back over pictures of her from the past. Recently she’s been picking out her own outfits, here’s some pictures of her through the years when I still had a say!
I got my hair did! I had such a nice time, sitting at the salon, childless… for hours! I read magazines, instagrammed and relaxed. It was a great belated mother’s day treat. I haven’t had my hair like this in over 5 years! It’s a little shorter than I thought it as going to be, but hair grows. Hopefully this new style makes it a little easier to get ready in the mornings and makes it a little harder for Archie to pull!
It’s pretty much the same style my sister has. When I walked through the door to collect Taylor she said ‘Hello Annie… ‘Hello Mummy!’ Even my Mum was a little unsure who’d come to visit!
